Space Sustainability: What was Done?
Sustainability is a topic that encompasses not only earth, but space as well.
With space sustainability becoming a hot topic in recent years due to the increasing number of satellites being launched, its importance and actions various stakeholders can take to mitigate problems like space debris are being discussed at numerous conferences.

Companies like Astroscale and HEO Robotics were founded to tackle and provide solutions to this issue, while multinational corporation like Airbus is leading the way in developing in-orbit technologies to remove space junk from Earth’s orbit.
Companies like EnduroSat and Vyoma, ClearSpace and LeoLabs signed MoUs to collaborate and improve the sustainability of space activities.

This month, more than 8,200 pounds (3,700 kilograms) of payloads, trash and other materials that the International Space Station (ISS) astronauts no longer needed were removed by Northrop Grumman's robotic Cygnus spacecraft.
Indeed, sustainability is essential for the future of space exploration and activity. By prioritising sustainability, we can help ensure that we leave a positive impact on the universe while preserving our planet for future generations.
