About Me

About Me

I am a graduate of Ngee Ann Polytechnic's School of Film and Media Studies with a Diploma in Mass Communication. I am currently a final-year student at the Singapore Institute of Management taking my Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media under the University of Stirling’s programme.

I am a responsible, organized, hardworking individual who is open to learning new things. I aspire to be either a social media manager or a content writer to share with readers new or interesting places to visit and good deals they should not miss. One thing I do during my free time is to think of and create content for my Lemon8 account, which can be viewed via the button below.

This portfolio is a place for me to showcase some of my work done and my resume can be viewed below.

Experience

In my third year at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, I was part of The UrbanWire team, an online e-zine run by Mass Communications from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Besides contributing articles to the website, I was the sub-editor, newsletter and telegram manager at The UrbanWire.

As a newsletter manager, my role was to do and check the newsletter for any errors before sending it to subscribers of The UrbanWire on the last day of every month.

As a telegram manager, my responsibility was to come up with and send telegram messages in The UrbanWire's telegram group. Messages include promoting new stories or giveaways published on The UrbanWire's website, a reminder that the giveaway is ending in a day as well as the giveaway winner announcement message.

I was an intern before being offered a full-time position at Singapore Space and Technology (SSTL). My job scope at SSTL was to assist in marketing and operations for networking events and the Global Space and Technology Convention (GSTC) 2023. Some of my tasks include preparing, sending and tracking invitations and RSVPs, ensuring the event website is updated with the latest information, liaising with speakers, sourcing and communicating with various vendors and preparing marketing collaterals. I was also tasked with preparing and scheduling SSTL's monthly newsletter on MailChimp.

Notable works done during my time at SSTL include preparing the social media toolkit for GSTC 2023 & 2024, writing the topic piece for the April (Space Sustainability: What was Done) and July (Achieving Space Sustainability for Generations to Come) edition of SSTL's newsletter, preparing and sending invites for SSTL's movie networking event, doing GSTC 2024's event brochure and editing an interview clip between Mr Jonathan Hung, then-executive chairman of SSTL, now the executive director at the Office for Space Technology & Industry Singapore and Mr Eiichi Yonekura, Chief Executive Officer at SKY Perfect JSAT.

After leaving SSTL to pursue my studies, I interned at Hashtag Interactive, a digital marketing agency, as a copywriting intern during my semester break.

My main job scope was to write the image and post copies of social media posts for the accounts I was assigned to. I also occasionally did storyboarding or scripting for videos and worked on internal newsletters.

The accounts I worked on were mainly the Agency of Integrated Care (AIC), Children Cancer Foundation (CCF), Hair for Hope (HfH) and FWD Insurance. Other brands I wrote for included AltSchool, Watsons and Alexandra Hospital.
